Wild Eager to Play Games after Long Break

March 22, 2018 02:39 PM

The Minnesota Wild will have to wait until Saturday to play their next game, they will have had five days off between games.

When Minnesota hosts Nashville on Saturday, it starts a stretch where they will play nine games in fifteen days. It'll be the fast and the furious until the end of the regular season.

"My God let's play again. I woke up this morning and I said we don't play for three more days. I was watching games and when they don't go the way you want them to go you want to play. So we'll have nothing but practice tomorrow and get prepared," says Wild head coach Bruce Boudreau.

If that wasn't enough, of the nine games remaining in the regular season, the Wild will face eight teams that are above .500 and would make the playoffs.

"It's going to be an intense time. I don't think since I've been here I've had four days off in the month of March, it feels good to regroup yourself a little bit and get back on track and get ready for this stretch run," says Wild forward Nino Niederreiter.
