Web Extra: In Backup Role, Bridgewater Supports Keenum

For a second week in a row, Teddy Bridgewater will serve as the Vikings backup quarterback behind Case Keenum.  Considering all he's been through in the last two seasons - Teddy will take it.

Bridgewater was activated before last week's game, ending a two-season rehab effort after he suffered a devastating knee injury in the run-up to the 2016 season.

"Case has done a great job, he's competing, he's done everything the coaching staff is asking of him and I couldn't be more happy for him," says Bridegwater.

There's still no clear timetable for Bridgewater's return, despite head coach Mike Zimmer telling the FOX broadcast crew last Sunday he intends to play Bridgewater at some point this season.

In the meantime, Bridgewater doesn't sound concerned.

"Whoever's in there, our job is to execute the game plan, it's exciting knowing someday I could be in there running those plays, for now I excited watching Case light up the scoreboard," Bridgewater adds.
