When the Vikings and Saints play in the divisional round of the NFC playoffs Sunday at U.S. Bank Stadium, two quarterbacks from the state of Texas will be going against each other.

Vikings quarterback Case Keenum is from Brownwood, Texas, nearly two hours away from Austin where Saints quarterback Drew Brees grew up.

"I've been a big fan of his for a long time," Keenum said Thursday.

"Obviously being from Texas, another Texas quarterback who's done really well. Similar size, I guess, so you can make comparisons there, but just a guy I admire. He moves the ball down the field, how he operates, the kind of leader he is. I read his book a long time ago. I think he's a guy you can learn from."
