Twins Announce 3-Year Contract Extension For Manager Paul Molitor

The Twins announced on Monday afternoon that they signed manager Paul Molitor to a three-year contract extension. The deal is worth a reported $4 million total.

Molitor's contract was set to expire this winter.

The 13th manager in club history, Molitor led the 2017 Twins to the playoffs after losing 103 games in 2016. The Twins were the first team in MLB history to make the postseason a year after dropping 100+ games. 

Hired in November 2014, the St. Paul native has a career 227-259 record with winning records in 2015 (83-79) and 2017 (85-77).
