Road-weary and sleep-deprived, the Twins returned to MSP Airport Thursday afternoon in possession of their newly-earned playoff bid.
Players, coaches and management were all smiles as they strode from their plane at the official end of their 10-game roadtrip.

The Twins flew back from Cleveland where they celebrated into the wee hours of Thursday morning after clinching the second American League wildcard spot. After losing to Cleveland, the Twins gathered in the visiting clubhouse to watch the late finish between the Los Angeles Angels and Chicago White Sox.
When Chicago won on an extra-inning walk-off home run it mathematically eliminated the Angels, and clinched the Twins first postseason appearance since 2010.
The Twins close the regular season with a home series Friday, Saturday and Sunday against Detroit. Regardless of the results, they are locked into the second American League wildcard slot.
The Twins will play in the one-game American League Wildcard game on Tuesday night - most likely at the New York Yankees. The Boston Red Sox are a virtual lock to win the American League East, which would drop the Yankees into the wildcard game against the Twins.
