The Wolves are 36-25, good for 4th place in the West. But there's not much separation between the 3-seed Spurs and 10-seed Jazz. Only the top eight qualify for the postseason.

The Wolves begin their final 21-games stretch run Friday in Houston, then Zach LaVine makes his return to Target Center Saturday with Chicago. The Rockets have the best record in the NBA at 44-13.

One side-note from practice: the Wolves reassigned rookie Justin Patton to Iowa, their G-League affiliate.
