Dwyer's Walk-Off Homer Sends Gophers to Big Ten Championship Game

Sydney Dwyer hit a walk-off homer in the bottom of the seventh inning to give the Gophers softball team a 6-5 win over Illinois in the semifinals of the Big Ten Tournament.

The home run was Dwyer's second of the game and Big Ten Player of the Year Kendyl Lindaman also hit a grand slam. The Gophers improve 53-3 this season they have won 24 straight games.

The Gophers will face the winner of Michigan State/Ohio State in the championship game at approximately 5:00 p.m. tonight.
