Three of the state's biggest names in hockey came together Tuesday at a charity golf tournament: Zach Parise, Thomas Vanek and Jack Jablonski.

5 EYEWITNESS NEWS spoke with all three at The Wilds Golf Course in Prior Lake for the 2nd annual Golf Tournament in support of Jablonski's own "BEL13VE in Miracles Foundation."

Click the video box on this page to see Parise and Vanek talk about their relationship with Jablonski, and their participation in the event - and a lengthy interview with Jablonski about trying to help raise money for his Foundation, how he's spent his summer, and where he's headed for college this winter.

Jablonski was partially paralyzed by a spinal cord injury that occurred during a high school hockey game.

After an outpouring of support from the hockey community and the Twin Cities community at-large toward his own recovery effort, Jablonski helped create the BEL13VE in Miracles Foundation around the first anniversary of his injury.

Per the BEL13VE website, "the charitable foundation was created to support research and innovative treatments that will advance recovery for everyone living with a spinal cord injury."

At Tuesday's event, Jablonski was on hand to greet tournament participants to thank them for their support - and to spend some time with his close friends and classmates before they head off to college this fall.

Jablonski will depart for college in January. It's perfect timing considering he'll leave wintry Minnesota to move to the warm climate that exists at the University of Southern California.

In addition to Parise and Vanek, several luminaries from the hockey world attended Tuesday's tournament including Minnesota Wild players Keith Ballard and Erik Haula, former Gopher and current Florida Panther Nick Bjugstad, former Mr. Hockey and Jablonski's fellow Benilde-St Margaret's-grad Grant Besse.
