Minnesota Vikings rookie quarterback Teddy Bridgewater has seen some unexpected publicity this week.
Target stocked its shelves with shirts printed with the 21-year-old's name on the back over the weekend. However, there was a problem - the shirts said, "Bridewater," on the back.
SuperTarget in Edina said they pulled the shirts from the floor on Tuesday. A Target in Roseville and others across the metro were expected to follow suit.
It is not known when or if stores will get new shirts with the correct spelling in.
The shirt was listed in the store as NFL Team Apparel. A call into Target Corp. was not immediately returned.
Bridgewater was drafted by the Vikings in the first round of the 2014 NFL Draft earlier this year.
