Mike Zimmer and co. successfully made it through the first day of Mini-Camp without any major headlines, which normally is a good thing during this time of the year.

Quarterbacks Matt Cassel and Teddy Bridgewater took the majority of the first-team snaps, but Zimmer said he still thinks it's a three-way battle, which would include last year's opening day starter, Christian Ponder.

One bit of news came from one of the team's biggest splashes in free agency, defensive tackle Lival Joseph. He said he is still recovering from shoulder surgery. Joseph said the surgery was done in January, which is the reason he has been limited in practice, but said he expects to be 100% by training camp.
