Minnesota is set to make history this weekend when it becomes the first state to hold a sanctioned trapshooting tournament.

The top 100 shooters in the state will compete in Prior Lake on Saturday, including a hot shot from Buffalo High School, Kurt Potter.

Potter is a senior who waited three years to get a Clay Target team at Buffalo.  He says it's been a dream come true to shoot for his school instead of just a recreational league.

The 22 member team is coached by the husband and wife duo Mark and Sally Stevens.

Potter is currently ranked number one in his conference.
