Amanda Zahui B. was dominant for the Gophers women's basketball team Thursday night, but it wasn't enough to extend her team's season as Minnesota fell to South Dakota State 70-62 in the third round of the WNIT.

Zahui scored a career-high 26 points en route to her 18th double-double of the season. The redshirt freshman broke the Big Ten and Minnesota single-season record for rebounding with 394 boards.

Still, South Dakota State out-rebounded the Gophers 45-35 and forced 13 Minnesota turnovers.

Junior guard Rachel Banham, who injured her foot in Sunday's win over SMU and was expected to play, kept Minnesota in the game Thursday with 23 points in the second half. She made a career-high six three-pointers and finished with 25 points.

Minnesota led 24-23 at halftime but fell behind by double digits midway through the second half. The Jackrabbits put the game away by making all eight of its free throws in the final minute.

South Dakota State is now 5-1 all-time against Minnesota.

The Gophers finished the year 22-13, enough for its most wins since the 2004-05 season.
