Girls' State Hockey: Benilde- St. Margaret's Advances to AA Championship Game

Gophers commit Kelly Pannek scored the game-winning goal in the 2nd period as Benilde-St. Margaret's beat Lakeville North 2-1 in the semifinals of the class 2a Girls' State Hockey Tournament.

The Red Knights will play Hill-Murray for the program’s third girls’ hockey state title tomorrow night at 7 p.m. BSM's previous two state titles were in class 1a.

Kasandra Petersen opened the scoring for the Red Knight's with her second of the tourney at 13:13 in the 1st period.

Lakeville North was coming off a triple-overtime win the previous night in the quarterfinals. The Panthers tied it at 1-1 with just 11 seconds left in the 1st when Dani Sadek struck on the power play.
