With the loss at Baltimore on Sunday, the Vikings (3-9-1) have officially been eliminated from the NFL playoffs.

Adrian Peterson was taken off the field and to a local hospital for a MRI after suffering an injury to his foot. Vikings Coach Leslie Frazier said at a press conference Monday that Peterson will undergo more testing to make sure the injury is not serious.

The foot injury could have been a consequence of the snowy conditions during the game. Peterson sent a controversial tweet out last night that referenced fans throwing snowballs at the players and coaches on the field.

"Wow talking about bad officiating & the worst fan base I've ever experience! They threw snow balls the entire 4q like lil kids. Smh [Shake my head]," Peterson tweeted after the game.

Frazier said he would have to address the issue with league security and that Peterson was not the only one feeling irritation from the fan action.

"I felt a snowball on my back, too," Frazier said.

Between the two teams, six touchdowns were scored in the fourth quarter. The Vikings were winning in the final minutes of Sunday's game. However, Joe Flacco threw a 9-yard touchdown pass to Marlon Brown with four seconds left to put the Ravens up 29-26. To read more about the game, click here.

More frustration happened for the Vikings after their flight home was delayed. A catering truck ran into the plane. The team didn't make it home until after midnight, Frazier said.

Faced with the reality of no post-season, Frazier said the team is focused on getting a win at home against the Philadelphia Eagles.

Some team critics, as well as fans, have brought the idea that losing will bring on a better draft pick. In addition to the Eagles game, the team has an away game at Cincinnati then one last home game on Dec. 29 against the Detroit Lions.

With Matt Cassel's impressive passing game Sunday, Christian Ponder passing his concussion testing Monday morning, and the Vikings' passing interest in playing Josh Freeman, the question of who will play quarterback next remains.
