In what the team calls "a goodwill gesture to reward its loyal fan base" Minnesota United FC - the Twin Cities' pro soccer franchise - has announced lower season ticket prices for the 2014 season.

“Our season ticket holders have been the lifeblood of this team for the past four years and part of what inspired us to take over the club,” said United President Nick Rogers. “We were thrilled to double our attendance this year and we are committed to remaining affordable while increasing value and keeping our club sustainable for the future.”

The team is also reconfiguring the seating chart at National Sports Center Stadium to add more options and price-levels.

“We understand affordability is very important, especially to families, and we are excited at the fact that over half the stadium will be dropping in price per ticket per game,” Rogers added. “Also, with the changes and added service to our premium areas, we join the Vikings, Twins, Timberwolves and Wild as an option for corporate and client entertainment.”
