Thousands of students in Minnesota and Wisconsin are getting free school supplies thanks to Kemps' Gallons for Good program.
The program gave a portion of money from every gallon of Kemps Milk sold in August and September to the Kids in Need Foundation.
Teachers and students filled their carts with donated supplies today, and also had the chance to meet Minnesota Twins catcher Joe Mauer and his mom.
The Children's Defense Fund says about 15 percent of Minnesota children live below the poverty line and go without school supplies.
