Stern Confident Wolves Are Staying in Minnesota

The Minnesota Timberwolves had as special guest Wednesday night for their game against San Antonio.   NBA Commissioner David Stern was in town.

It could be the last time he visits Minnesota for a game as the commissioner, since he's retiring from the position after the season.

Stern has had a great relationship with Wolves owner Glen Taylor over the years.   Taylor is in the process of selling the franchise, but Stern is confident the team is not on the move.

"He wants it to stay here." Stern said Wednesday. "All discussions about sale revolve around finding the person, or persons, who will commit to keeping it as a first-class franchise in the Twin Cities."
