Derham Hall Inducts 20 Members into its Athletic Hall of Fame

Twenty Derham Hall community members will be inducted into the new Derham Hall Athletic Hall of Fame Sunday. 

For some it's an honor, and others it is a reunion. 

Inductee Teresa Lopez said she is excited to see her old teammates Suzy Griep Whaley '84 and Suzie Piram Odegard '84. 

"I think it is very nice that they are recognizing these women from Derham Hall that made these strides," Lopez said.  

Lopez played basketball, volleyball and softball. She said in basketball they competed at state three times and competed in state for volleyball too. 

To attend the luncheon at 11:30 a.m. at the Crowne Plaza Hotel in downtown St. Paul, the cost is $30 per person.

The school’s website stated that it is “fitting that we recognize those in our community who were truly pioneers in their respective sports.”
