Minnesota Timberwolves May Benefit from NHL Lockout

The Minnesota Timberwolves tipped off their season at the Target season Friday night. With the NHL lockout dragging on, the Timberwolves are hoping to bring sports fans across the river to their arena.

A sports economist at the University of Saint Thomas estimates the Wolves could gain one thousand more fans per game from the lockout. The Wolves president believes hockey fans will give his team a chance.

The Wolves have been building their fan base. Over the last three years, they've add more than six thousand season ticket holders.
