Vikings Have Extra Time to Recuperate After Loss to Tampa Bay

null

The Minnesota Vikings have some extra time to recuperate from their lopsided loss to Tampa Bay. It's a good thing, too.

The Vikings lost some of the momentum from their strong start after falling 36-17 to the Buccaneers at home on Thursday night.

They also lost starting cornerback Chris Cook to a broken right arm, meaning one of their most important defensive players will be absent for perhaps the remainder of the year. There is a lot that must improve for the Vikings (5-3) if they're going to put together a solid second half to the season.

The player under the most scrutiny is quarterback Christian Ponder, who has been out of sync a lot the last month and turning the ball over far too much.
