INTERVIEW: New Vikings Fan Experience: 'Railgating'
Minneapolis is hosting a new kind of party to get Vikings fans ready for the game: “Railgating.”

Fifth Street to Park Avenue will be closed to become the “Purple Path” that will have 16 food trucks this Sunday.
KSTP talked to Cory Merrifield, of Save the Vikes, about Minneapolis’ push to amp up the Vikings experience.
The “Railgating” experience means that people can park all over the city, take the light rail down, stop eat some food along the way and then jump back on to get to the dome.
Fans will be able to eat at the food trucks as early as 7 a.m.
Even if fans aren’t going to the game, “Railgating” will help them get the game day experience and help them realize that Sunday downtown Minneapolis is for Vikings football, Merrifield said.
There will be food vendors, but no beer this weekend.
