Video: Gophers Football & Hoops Recruit Reid Travis

DeLaSalle junior Reid Travis is the rare high school sports star who isn't specializing in one sport.
In the near future, he'll have an interesting decision to make: play big-time college football or basketball. ESPN recently named him the 31st best basketball recruit in the Class of 2014. 6'7", 230 lbs, he has the ability to play inside and out. Gophers coach Tubby Smith wants him badly.
On the football field, he's the starting quarterback. It's possible he could elect to play both at the next level, but the sense is it'll be one or the other. Travis said his college and sport decision will likely come sometime next late summer/early fall, or possibly later.
I recently spent time with Travis. Click the video box above to see my story.
