Video: Trent Lockett's Journey To Marquette

Former Hopkins basketball star Trent Lockett left Arizona State with just one year of eligibility left for a good reason: to be closer to his mom who is fighting lymphoma.
Lockett led the Sun Devils in scoring last year at 13 points per game, but family takes priority. The Gophers didn't have any open scholarships, so he'll play for Marquette, which is a six hour drive from Judy Lockett's Golden Valley home.
He is able to play right away at Marquette because of the graduate transfer exception rule. Lockett received his undergraduate degree from Arizona State in business communications in May and will pursue a graduate degree at Marquette in sports leadership.
