USA Hockey selected seven Gophers to the 23-woman National Team that will train this winter ahead of the 2018 Winter Olympics in PyeongChang, South Korea.

Rising senior Kelly Pannek (Plymouth / Benilde-St Margaret's) joins recent graduates Dani Cameranesi (Plymouth / Blake) and Hannah Brandt (Vadnais Heights / Hill-Murray) as those in line to make Olympic debuts in Korea.

Amanda Kessel (Madison, WI), Gigi Marvin (Warroad), Megan Bozek (Buffalo Grove, IL) and Lee Stecklein (Roseville) were all part of the USA team that took silver at the 2014 Winrer Games in Sochi.

Among the seven, only Cameranesi will make her senior National Team debut.  The other six won gold with Team USA at the World Championships in Michigan last month.

Minnesota-Duluth standout Maddie Rooney (Andover) is also on the team, as well as one-time Gophers Monique Lamoureux-Morando and Jocelyne Lamoureux-Davidson, who transferred from the U to North Dakota.
