Owatonna's Passing Attack Too Much for Brainerd in Class 5A Semifinals

Owatonna quarterback Abe Havelka threw seven touchdown passes as Owatonna beat Brainerd 56-28 Saturday night in the Class 5A state semifinals.

Havelka completed 21 of 25 passes for 451 yards. Brainerd senior running back Charlie Geraets rushed for 209 yards on 39 carries in a losing cause.

Owatonna will play defending state champion Elk River on Saturday, Nov. 25 in the Prep Bowl.
