This week's KSTP Sports / TRIA Athlete of the Week led one of the state's most dominant prep sports dynasties to yet another title.

Nicole Copeland helped power Edina to their 32nd overall girls tennis state title since 1981 (combined with Edina East) and their 20th in the last 21 years.

Copeland beat St Cloud Tech's Ashley Tarrolly 6-2, 6-2 in her match on the championship round of the team competition.

The Hornets beat Tech 7-0 in the Finals to claim the state title.

Edina's loss in the State Semifinals last year to eventual AA champ Mahtomedi snapped a run of 19 straight state titles, but they're back to working on a new streak with this year's title.

Copeland also won the Class AA State singles title beating Elk River's Meagan Brown 6-3, 6-3.
