Michael Floyd's Long-Time Trainer: 'The Best is Yet to Come'

May 11, 2017 01:22 PM

Michael's Floyd's long-time trainer, Ted Johnson, talks with KSTP's Darren 'Doogie' Wolfson about Floyd's opportunity at redemption after his December DUI arrest.

Johnson also explains why Floyd is an excellent fit on-the-field for the Vikings, including stressing how great a blocker he is.

Johnson runs Performance Athletix in Eden Prairie, and has trained Floyd for 14-years.

The Vikings signed Floyd on Tuesday, edging out the Redskins for his services.

Floyd is currently on home confinement in Arizona until mid-June. However, a source tells Wolfson that Floyd's attorney is trying to get his punishment transferred to Minnesota. If that doesn't occur, Floyd would first take the field for the Vikings at training camp in Mankato.
