Mittelstadt Scores 1st Goal as Gophers Beat Union

Casey Mittelstadt scored his first goal as a Gopher as they beat Union College 2-0 in the 3rd place game of the Ice Breaker Tournament in Duluth.

Rem Pitlick added a goal and an assist for the Gophers. Eric Shierhorn made 26 saves to collect his first shutout of the season for Minnesota.

It was the Gophers' first game against Union since losing the 2014 National Championship game.
