Apple Valley-native and current Timberwolf Tyus Jones barely remembers the last time his team was in the NBA playoffs.
"I remember it a little bit," Jones said in a jubilant yet somewhat reserved Timberwolves postgame locker room.
The 21-year-old point guard was sevend when Kevin Garnett's MVP campaign led the Timberwolves to the Western Conference Finals.
They hadn't been back... until now.
"Being from here, I know the fans - how they feel, how long it's been," Jones said.

Jones and the 2018 Timberwolves beat Denver 112-106 in a winner-take-all regular season finale that sends the Wolves into the postseason, snapping a 13-season drought.
"I remember (the Timberwolves) being in the playoffs, but I don't remember the importance of it," Jones said. "I was just a fan, so I was happy we were making a run. The more the years went on, the more you see how tough it is - not making the playoffs and how bad the fans want it -we're glad we were able to end that drought."
The Timberwolves will open the playoffs with a first-round series against the Houston Rockets. Games 1 and 2 will be in Houston with Games 3 and 4 bringing playoff basketball back to Target Center.
