Upcoming 5-Game Homestand Can Help Minnesota Wild Gain Ground in Playoffs Standings

February 06, 2018 02:34 PM

The Minnesota Wild will need to take advantage of the upcoming five-game homestand starting on Thursday against Arizona.

"It's not going to be easy, but having five games at home in a row is a chance for us to get a good some good momentum as we try to gain some ground on the competition," said Wild forward Zach Parise.

"The Western Conference is tough. We don't want to scoreboard watch and see what other teams are doing. We want to take care of our own destiny by winning games," Parise added.

The Wild will face the Blues in St. Louis on Tuesday before the long home stretch.

"St. Louis is a good team. The minute you think you're safe bad things happen. The moment you think woe is me, you're going to be done. You have to bounce back every night," said Wild coach Bruce Boudreau.

The Wild are currently in 8th place in the West with 61 points. They have 30-games remaining in the regular season.
