Minnesota United open their season Saturday at San Jose. They finished ninth place in the West in their debut season, missing the playoffs. They were winless in six of their first seven games, conceding a ridiculously high 24 goals. As the season went on, they did show improvement. United finished 2017 10-18-6.

KSTP Sports was at practice on Wednesday, and talked with coach Adrian Heath and forward Abu Danladi.

Heath touched on the importance of a faster start this season, and feeling like his team is ready after weeks of training and preseason games.

Danladi was the first draft pick in United history. He is coming off a solid preseason, notching a hat trick in one game.
