Minnesota Lynx Primed for Another Title Run

May 01, 2017 07:33 PM

Media day means a lot for all teams, as it represents a new start and a fresh vision toward what they hope will be a championship run.

For the Minnesota Lynx, that sentiment holds true for a team that's one of the deepest in franchise history. Minnesota added veteran forward Plenette Pierson in the offseason to an already-bolstered lineup. Maya Moore is in her seventh season with the team and will lead the Lynx come opening day on May 14.

"This is the most exciting time of the year up to this point, because the Lynx are back in town," Moore said. "I think everyone is ready to go, just knowing that it's such a special group coming back."

The Lynx were just seconds away from winning its fourth championship last season when they lost to the Los Angeles Sparks in game 5 of the WNBA Finals.
