Gophers Men's Basketball: Northwestern Preview, Coffey's Return, Upcoming Break Needed, etc.

After losing five of their last six games, the Gophers men's basketball team returns to Williams Arena for a Tuesday night contest vs. Northwestern.

Coach Richard Pitino and captains Nate Mason and Jordan Murphy met with reporters on Monday.

The Gophers (14-8, 3-6 in the Big Ten) will get a week off following Tuesday's game. Forward Amir Coffey returned for Saturday's loss vs. Ohio State after missing five games with a shoulder injury. Pitino said that he didn't practice on Monday, but should be ok to play vs. the Wildcats. Guard Dupree McBrayer (foot) is still not practicing either.
