Vikings RB Latavius Murray Ready for New Role With Cook Out

With Minnesota Vikings rookie running back Dalvin Cook (ACL) out for the season, it looks like Latavius Murray will get most of the carries.

Murray, in his first season with the Vikings, has rushed for 38 yards on 14 carries through the first four games of the year. 

Murray had ankle surgery this offseason, but says he is ready to take on the extra workload in Cook's absence. In 2015, Murray rushed for 1,066 yards and added six touchdowns for Oakland. Last year he had 788 rushing yards with 12 touchdowns. 

The Vikings (2-2) play at Chicago (1-3) next Monday night.
