Eden Prairie's Mittelstadt Brothers Discuss Recent Commitment to Gopher Hockey

Eden Prairie's John and Luke Mittelstadt committed to the Gophers hockey team, via Twitter over the weekend. They are the younger brothers of former Gopher and current Buffalo Sabres forward Casey Mittelstadt.

John and Luke talked to KSTP's Darren 'Doogie' Wolfson on Monday about their decision to want to play together and follow in their brother's footsteps.

John, a forward, is entering his junior year at Eden Prairie, while Luke, a defenseman, will be a sophomore.

John played on the varsity team last year for the Eagles and tallied seven goals and nine assists in 26 games, while Luke played played bantams.

Older brother Casey played the 2017-2018 season with the Gophers, then signed with Buffalo right after the season. He made his NHL debut in late March, seeing action in six games and he scored his first pro goal.
