The Skipper came out the gates hot, especially senior guard Katey Brattland. Behind Brattland's five first-half three-pointers, Minnetonka lead by as many as 22 points. The Skippers were up 41-27 at halftime.

However, the Lakers stormed back in the second half.

Junior guard McKenna Hofschild put Prior Lake on her back, scoring a game-high 42 points, including a flurry of second-half threes. The Lakers first lead of the game came following a Hofschild jumper late in the second-half to put Prior Lake up 73-71.

Minnetonka turned the ball over on their next two possessions, allowing the Lakers to hold on for the win. It will be Prior Lake's first trip to the state tournament since 2003.
