The Gopher Men’s Tennis team earned their first trip to the NCAA Tournament's round of 16 since 2000 Saturday with a clean 4-0 sweep of No. 14 Oklahoma. Freshman Jackson Allen ultimately clinched the teams win that sends the team to Winston Salem, NC for the NCAA tournament sweet 16 birth.

"I know everyone waited a long time for this opportunity and we have a great group of guys here who've worked hard to get us where we are today," said Gophers Freshman Jackson Allen.

"It's hard to put into words the level of pride and happiness I have for this team and especially our two seniors who have done everything right during their entire time here," said head coach Geoff Young. "The bottom of the line-up was the difference this weekend, playing their best tennis of the year. I'm really looking forward to another week of tennis with this group of guys."
