Former Timberwolf Gary Trent Sr. Reminisces About 2004 Playoff Team

April 13, 2018 05:06 PM

Twin Cities resident Gary Trent Sr. was on the last Timberwolves team to make the playoffs in 2004. They lost to the Lakers in the Western Conference Finals, in part because point guard Sam Cassell got injured.

KSTP's Darren 'Doogie' Wolfson caught up with Trent Sr. this week to reminisce about that playoff run, his son, Gary Jr.. turning pro after one season at Duke, and his happiness for the current team -- he coached with Sam Mitchell in 2015-2016, so knows Karl-Anthony Towns, Andrew Wiggins, Tyus Jones, and Gorgui Dieng well.
