Eden Prairie (12-0) won their 12th straight game of the year and handled Maple Grove, 26-0. They will play in Friday’s Class 6A championship looking for their 11th title.

The Eagles put the game heavily on the shoulders of their senior running back, place kicker, punter, and receiver, Antonio Montero. He had two field goals, (31 and 37 yards), two rushing touchdowns, and two extra points.

The Crimson of Maple Grove kept it close for a half, with a slight edge in total yards and time of possession, but were unable to break through the Eagle defense. Montero was successful with his two field goal attempts and the Eagles led 6-0 at the break. The second half Maple Grove managed only 103 total yards. They only got into Eagle territory once in the second half, that drive ended on an interception by Jack Tuttle as time was about to expire.

Eden Prairie rushed for 284 yards in the game, and quarterback Cole Kramer threw for 98 yards more and a touchdown to Tuttle with just over three minutes remaining in the game.
