Eden Prairie Beats Lakeville North 35-0 in Class 6A Quarterfinals

The Eden Prairie Eagles continue to dominate games in their quest for another state football championship, beating Lakeville North in the Class 6A Quarterfinals on Thursday night, 35-0.

The Eagles scored on the fourth play from scrimmage when senior tailback Solo Falaniko ran 49-yards for a touchdown.

Eden Prairie's defense was equally impressive. Lakeville North was on the verge of tying the score at 7 in the first quarter when Antonio Montero forced a fumble on the three-yard-line. Teammate D.J. Johnson picked up the ball and ran it back 97-yards for a touchdown.

With the win, unbeaten Eden Prairie will face Maple Grove next week in the Class 6A semifinals at U.S. Bank Stadium.
