Lucia and Sheehy Preview Big Ten Tourney

Recently named Big Ten Player of the Year Tyler Sheehy and Gophers' head coach Don Lucia spoke with the media on Wednesday about this weekend's Big Ten Men's Hockey Tournament. 

Lucia says his team as accomplished one of their goals by winning the Big Ten regular season title but they want to capture the tournament title before heading into the NCAA Tournament. He went on to say the team is focused and aren't any less motivated already knowing no matter what happens at the conference tourney, they will make the NCAA tournament. 


Sheehy says he is honored to be named the Big Ten P.O.Y and a Hobey Baker Award finalist. Whether it is Penn State or Michigan - who meetin the first round to determine the Gophers' opponent - Sheehy said he and his fellow teammates are ready to go in their opening game at the Big Ten tourney on Friday.
