The Royals were leading 64-63 with 18 seconds left and possession. However, Fleming was called for a travel, giving the Raiders one last opportunity.

In the ensuing possession, Raiders senior Sy Chatman was fouled with four seconds remaining. He proceeded to make both his free throws to put the Raider up 65-64. Woodbury's senior Michael Jones then missed a last-second three to end the game.
