Concordia-St. Paul Celebrates its 9th Volleyball National Championship

Concordia-St. Paul University is celebrating another volleyball National Championship after dominating the Division II tournament in Pensacola, Florida this past weekend.

"It doesn't get old winning another National Championship. I'm so proud of these young ladies who stuck together to the very end," said Brady Starkey, Concordia head coach.


Concordia won its second straight title, beating Florida Southern 3-0 on Saturday. The Golden Bears only lost two games in the entire tournament.

"It was a dream come true to send out the seniors with back to back titles, we couldn't be happier for them," said junior setter Elizabeth Mohr.

Concordia records its ninth national championship overall. The team will only lose three seniors heading into next season.
