Gophers Deputy AD Beth Goetz Takes Job at Connecticut

Former University of Minnesota interim athletic director Beth Goetz has taken a job at the University of Connecticut.

Goetz, who served as interim athletic director from August until May, will become the chief operating officer at Connecticut's department of athletics.

She will oversee internal departments and serve as a key member of the university's leadership team.

Goetz was hired in 2013 as deputy athletics director. She was previously at Butler University in Indianapolis.

Goetz was a candidate for athletic director at Minnesota. President Eric Kaler hired Syracuse Athletic Director Mark Coyle.

Goetz replaced Norwood Teague in 2015 when Teague resigned after allegations of sexual harassment.
