Down the road, the Apple Valley boys basketball team eyes a repeat state championship this season.  In the short term, they're preparing for a nationally televised clash  that features arguably the best one-on-one matchup in Minnesota high school basketball history.

Apple Valley hosts Minnehaha Academy Thursday night which puts Tre Jones - the nation's #1 point guard prospect from the Class of 2018 - against Jalen Suggs, who's rated as the top point guard in the Class of 2020.
