A source confirmed with KSTP Sports that the San Francisco 49ers are extending a four-year, $30.5 million deal to running back Jerick McKinnon.

KSTP Sports reported McKinnon had interest from at least five teams as a free agent. A source involved in the McKinnon talks called the Vikings "gracious" throughout the process, as they did want him back. But once the Vikings went all-in on Cousins, it limited their ability to come close to the 49ers offer.
