Situation in Syria complicates the Trump-Russia relationship


If Trump's relationship with Russia was complicated before, it became more-so following news that Russia likely had advanced knowledge of the April 4 chemical attack that killed at least 70 people. Trump responded by launching a barrage of cruise missiles at a Syrian air base in what amounted to the first direct American military assault on the Syrian government. 

State lawmakers tasked with haggling over budget, averting shutdown

Local lawmakers might be enjoying Easter/Passover break, but when they return to the State Capitol they will be tasked with ironing out differences among budget proposals. Republicans have a chance to showcase a lower-taxes, lower-spending philosophy, while Gov. Mark Dayton looks to preserve much more of the $1.65-billion surplus
