Political Insider: Sexual Harassment Allegations at the Capitol; the Politics of Potential Senate Layoffs

November 14, 2017 07:27 PM

On the latest episode of Political Insider, Tom Hauser and analysts Larry Jacobs, of the University of Minnesota's Humphrey School of Public Affairs, and Dan Hofrenning, of St. Olaf College, discuss the latest in the allegations leveled against state Sen. Dan Schoen and state Rep. Tony Cornish.

The trio also discusses the politics surrounding potential Senate layoffs in the wake of Gov. Mark Dayton's veto of the House and Senate's $130 million operating budget this spring as part of a dispute over tax breaks and other measures he signed into law. That move sparked a legal battle now before the state Supreme Court, which hasn't definitively ruled in the case.
