Governor Mark Dayton signed nine bills into law Wednesday night.

Included in that batch was McKenna's Law, which ensures children in foster care will have access to a lawyer.

It was named after McKenna Ahrenholz, a foster child who fought for years to get a lawyer. 

Also included in the bill signed was one that renames a bridge on U.S. Highway 52 in Coates as the Corp. Benjamin S. Kopp Bridge.

And another that names a segment of Trunk Highway 23 in Paynesville after Medal of Honor winner Kenneth L. Olson.
