December 31, 2017 06:52 PM

Tina Smith to fill that Senate seat, and a contentious court battle between Gov. Mark Dayton and legislative leaders over his line-item veto of House and Senate funding.

We'll also revisit some of our favorite stories of 2017 and look ahead to what should be a wild and crazy 2018 midterm election.
